Stop & Smell the Roses

If you know me you know I love flowers. I used to wear so many ensembles with floral print and then a friend kindly informed me that I looked like a modern day grandma. So needless to say I had to dial the flowers back a bit.

Hennessy Butter Steak

I never miss when it comes to making this steak! The combination of the robust flavor of Hennessy, creamy butter, and spices is a real crowd pleaser. It’s seasoned to perfection with: kosher salt, black pepper, and granulated garlic. Seared in a cast iron skillet on both sides and basted with creamy browned butter, a healthy shot (or 2) of Hennessy, rosemary and crushed garlic.

The Speed of Light

Summer couldn’t get here fast enough, so my friends and I decided to start a little early. Traveling in North Carolina is a summer tradition for us and it’s always a challenge to pick a destination. We have mountains, we have metropolitan areas with some of the finest fare the U.S. has to offer, and we have a plethora of beaches.

Tick Tock

Time is really flying by. I started this blog in 2017 and I have only 2 posts, how inconsistent of me. I really gave a speech on staying consistent and didn’t even take my own advice. IN MY DEFENSE I’ve always been that friend. I give great advice but my own life is as scrambled as your morning breakfast eggs.
