You know we’ve already talked about this. This is a brunch stan blog, so here I am yet again providing you all with another item that’s perfect for brunch!
The cayenne maple butter drizzle that we use to finish off these juicy chops is the icing on top of the cake. Let’s get started.
Here’s what you’ll need:
3 tbsp of Maple Seasoning
3 tbsp of Mesquite seasoning
2 tbsp of paprika
2 tbsp of onion powder
2 tbsp of garlic powder
Salt to taste
Make sure to season your chops LIBERALLY! This is a flavor packed dish, we don’t want to ruin it by under seasoning. They should look something like this once you’re done seasoning both sides.
Next let’s take it on over to the stove where we’ve heated a cast iron skillet on medium/high heat. We’re going to sear our chops on both sides for 2 minutes each side. We need a beautiful crust before they head into the oven
Once you’ve seared both sides place the chops in an oven safe baking dish. The oven should be preheated to 400°F. Roast the chops uncovered for 15 minutes or until done in the middle.
Once we’ve removed the chops from the oven place them on your serving dish and prepare the maple butter drizzle.
Here’s what you’ll need:
2 tbsp of salted butter
1 tbsp of cayenne pepper
3 tbsp of REAL maple syrup
Place all the ingredients in one bowel and microwave just until the butter is melted and the ingredients are heated through.
If you really want to impress your guests drizzle the maple butter over the chops just before serving.
I hope you all enjoy this sweet, salty and spicy recipe. I love you all and as always sending lots of moxie your way,
-Roxy
